Academy 1/48 AH-64A Apache

Academy Hobby has release this 1/48 Scale AH-64A [GRAY CAMO 2003] in October 2012.

The AH-64A Apache, also known as the flying tanks, first reached the AUS Army in 1984 to replace the AH-1F Cobra attack helicopter.

It was equipped with:
– A nose-mounted Lockheed Martin AAQ-11 Target Acquisition and Designation Sight and Pilot night vision.
– A specially developed M230 30-mm chain gun.
– Four stub-wing hardpoints for Hellfire air-to-ground and unguided rocket pods.

It has seen combat in location such as Panama in 1989 and Operation Desert Storm in 1991. It however did not fared very well in the Global Was or Terror in Iraq and Afghanistan where a few had been destroyed by small arms fire and shoulder launched missiles.

The sky gray camouflage was used by the South Carolina Army National Guard (SCARNG) to improve the combat effectiveness of the Apache in operations in and over Iraq.

Gunpla Builder World Cup 2011 Gallery

Took these pictures a long long long time ago. Never manage to get round to post them. Mainly due to busy work schedule, grocery shopping, movies, bla blab bla… but seriously, mainly due to my lack of motivation a.k.a. lazy.

Was contemplating whether to post them…. Anyway, since I already have them I figure what the heck, might as well post them. So here they are, the pictures taken during last year Gunpla Builder World Cup – Malaysia leg… yeah.. almost a year ago. How time flies. This was a competition co-sponsor by Bandai. All models are Gundam kits, needless to say.

Hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy posting them. Cheers.

By the way, I have no idea who won the competition. Perhaps some of you who knows can share with us.

The Gundam Model Kit Challenge 2010 is a mid year modeling competition organized by Litt Tak. It was held from 5th to 10th June 2010 at the usual Sungai Wang Plaza in Kuala Lumpur.

There were not too many entries in this competition however I do notice that most of the entries are of tremendous quality.

I have no idea who won the competition as I was not there during the winner announcement.

Below are pictures of some of the entries. Enjoy.

SFTPMS Sci-Fi Challenge

SFTPMS (Selangor and Federal Territory Plastic Modelling Society) has organized a modeling competition themed Sci-Fi Challenge. As the theme imply, this competition is only applicable to all things science fiction.

It was a one-day event held at e@Curve, Mutiara Damansara on 29th May 2010.

The number of participant was overwhelming and the build quality if the participating entries are equivalently stunning.

Below are the pictures of the entries. Enjoy.
