Ultraman Nexus

I learned that there’s a Gundam Seed Destiny plastic modeling competition being held at the Mid Valley Megamall. I being a big fan of the Gundam series will definitely not miss the chance to see all the cool Gundam models being on display. I reached there very early in the morning so as to avoid the crowds because I also wanted to take pictures of the contest entries. However, as I take out my Fujifilm Finepix S9500 to get ready to start my photo shooting spree, a sales promoter came to me and says I am not allowed to take picture of the models on display. I told her that I know for a fact that other people had taken loads of pictures before me and the pictures are all over the Internet and she says that was before and nobody are allowed to take any picture anymore until next Saturday, which is the day the results are going to be announced.

Well, I left disappointed but I’ll be back next week to continue my quest. It was still fairly early so I thought I take a walk around the shopping mall, it is a huge shopping mall after all. As I was walking, guess who I bumped into? Yes, none other than Ultraman Nexus himself, in the flesh (more like in a plastic suite). And you’ll never guess this. The monster that he fights in the show, well, it is actually his buddy. I kid you not, take a look at these pictures and you’ll see how close they are.

All pictures were taken using my Fujifilm Finepix S9500.

I haven’t watch this new Ultraman Nexus installment yet but I have seen some trailer of some sort of it and so far I can say this looks like the best ever Ultraman show ever. The CG is state of the art and the fighting scenes are much better than any I’ve seen before. I particularly like the scene where he was fighting with a monster in the sky. They are just like fighter jets dog fighting, which is cool.

KLCC stands for Kuala Lumpur City Centre. It is in the heart of Kuala Lumpur and houses a number of interesting buildings. One of these building is the Petronas Twin Towers, once the tallest towers in the world. And in the middle of the two towers is a shopping mall called Suria KLCC. For more information about KLCC, click here.

All pictures are taken with Fujifilm Finepix S9500.
