Visited the Asian Festival of Speed on 14 May 2006 at the Sepang F1 Circuit. The AFOS is a racing event that is made up of four difference races. They are the Formula BWM Asia, the Formula V6 Asia by Renault, Porsche Carrera Cup, and Asian Touring Car Championship.
I must say the event wasn’t as excited as I’d expected. There were only a handful of spectators and the races were nothing to shout about either. The races were short and not many cars took part.
Besides the races, there was a drifting competition opened to public I think. But sadly, it wasn’t exciting as well. The drifting was boring and the cars were even worst. Most uses the Toyota DX. Luckily there was a drifting demonstration by some pro drivers and that at least provided some entertainment. Oh and there was a dance performance, too.
Here are some pictures I took at the festival. All pictures were taken with my Fujifilm S9500 digital camera. Enjoy.
