This was the second year running of the 1/72 Air Show held at Hobby HQ on 10 and 11 November 2007.
The 1/72 Air Show is basically a showcase of 1/72 scale model aircrafts and any type and genre. To make things more interesting, a mock airport was built to house all the aircrafts. The aircrafts on show were contributed by local modelers who are passionate about their hobby.
Beside serving as an avenue for modelers to showcase their precious models, the air show also aims to generate more interest in plastic modeling among the general public.
These photos show some of the model aircraft that took part in the air show. I personally enjoyed the air show plus the free food and I am hoping for a bigger and better one next year and hopefully I will be able to contribute some exhibits.
All photos were taken with my Canon 400D + 18-55mm kit lens.

This year BAKUC was held from 23 to 28 October, 2007 at Sungai Wang Plaza. Like last year I was at the venue to snap pictures of the competition entries. Frankly speaking, I think the entries for this year BAKUC were not as impressive as last year. Except for a handful of models that really stands out, the rest are just of so-so quality.
Again, the entry by one of Malaysia’s finest modeler, Erix, was impressive as ever. In case you are wondering which one it is, it is the orange colored S-Gundam (the first two pictures).
Go ahead and have a look at these pictures and see which one you like best. Be warned, there are 57 pictures in this post.
All pictures were taken with my brand spanking new Canon EOS 400D.

This piece has been overdue for way too long. Initial I was busy with work and this busyness gradually turned into laziness and that was why it has taken me so long to post this up.
These are pictures of some of the entries in this year Gundam Seed Modeling Competition held in May at Berjaya Time Square. To be honest, most of the entries are just so-so in term of quality with just a handful that really stands out. The best of show is obviously the perfect grade Strike Gundam that was modeled by one of Malaysia’s finest Gundam modeler. The PG Strike Gundam when on and became the grand winner of the competition.
I guess the poor turn out for this competition was due to a lots of modelers were skipping this competition in preparation for BAKUC which will be held end of October. This also means that I will again have another batch of pictures to be posted. Hopefully this time around I will be able to overcome my laziness and have the pictures of the BAKUC entries as soon as I can. For the time being, just enjoy these pictures. There are altogether 47 of them.
All pictures were taken with Fujifilm Finepix S9500.

Once again there was a road show by the Selangor and Federal Territory Plastic Modeling Society (SFTPMS) at Ikano Power Station on 26 May 2007. Although this time around the road show is only a one-day event, the number and quality of the model kits on display were nothing short of excellent.
The members of the society present at the road show were very friendly and were willing to share their modeling experiences with any one who has the faintest interest in plastic modeling.
If you are interested in plastic modeling, then please make a note to visit some of the events organized by the society and get to know the members. Like some of the members of the society said, you don’t have to build alone.
Below are some of the model kits on display at the road show. All photos were taken with my Fujifilm Finepix S9500.
There are altogether 36 photos.

I took a few days off work in April and went on a holiday to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. It was just a short 3-days getaway. I must say Kota Kinabalu isn’t much of a city compared to the bursting scene of Kuala Lumpur but I guess that is what good about it. Its wide-open landscape and waterfronts are such contrast to the concrete jungle of Kuala Lumpur that it was quite a refreshing experience being there.
These are some of the photographs I took during the trip.
Day 1.
About to take off from the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT).
