Tamiya Experience Showcase 2006

This event was held at Ikano Power Centre on the 17th and 18th of June 2006 and organized by Tamiya Underground. At the event was the Tamiya Asia Cup Qualifying Series where RC cars race each other for a chance to represent the country at the regional level competition. The event was action packed with races in every five minutes and the races were quite exciting as well with lots of overtaking and crashing.

Also at the event was the SFTPMS (Selangor and Federal Territory Plastic Modeling Society) where members showcase they completed models. You can see some amazing models on display including a remote controlled tank that imitates real tank sound when it moves around and it can fires it canon and machine guns, too. There were also workshops on how to build models, how to build dioramas, and airbrushing.

If you’re into these sorts of things and you missed this one then you’re in luck because they will be at Ikano Power Centre again next weekends (24th and 25th of June 2006). Do drop by and have a look for yourself.

These are some pictures taken at the event. All pictures where taken with the Fujifilm Finepix S9500.
